Mrs Bull's hup! story

Due to the size of their conservatory, they thought that their options would be limited in terms of replacing elements of the roof and they didn’t want to go for new polycarbonate. Also, the couple ideally wanted to create a larger open plan space and had an image in their head of what they wanted. After speaking to their local hup! builder they explained their ideas and decided to knock down the old conservatory and start again with hup!.

Working together with their hup! builder, they created this beautiful design with an extended full-width footprint featuring a flat roof, two lanterns, several sets of bifold doors and striking full length windows.

The result is an absolutely stunning hup! extension that was built in less than a week! The extension fuses together a kitchen, dining area and living space with media wall. Externally the hup! is finished in white render with anthracite grey windows, doors and trims for a stunning, timeless look.

Their choice of a flat roof with large lanterns completely changed the design from a traditional conservatory to the ultimate modern extension.

Mrs Bull explained more about their spectacular hup! transformation project:

“Once we found out about hup! we didn’t look back! Our old conservatory was separated from the house by double doors but when the hup! was added we knocked down the wall and made it open plan. We now have a really lovely space with bi-fold doors into the garden which is exactly what we wanted.

The speed was a major factor in us choosing hup! as it would have taken months if we had chosen brick. It was like a huge jigsaw puzzle that all fits together and it went up in just a couple of days – in fact after just two days the roof was already on and we just could not believe the speed!

The hup! has definitely changed the way we live. With our old conservatory, we had issues with the roof and it was draughty. The hup! extension has opened up our home into this wonderful space that we can use literally all year round. In summertime it’s beautiful – we can open the doors onto the garden and in winter, even with snow outside, it’s lovely and cosy without any draughts, it’s just really cosy and warm. Thanks to this huge area we now have, family gatherings are now absolutely wonderful.

It was such a great decision to start again and build a hup!. We were sceptical as we had never heard of the system before speaking to our local hup! builder but – wow!! There are no draughts anymore, we are saving on our heating as the insulation is amazing and it’s lovely and light – we love it!!!”
